Running it on the floor
Built as a defense top: a heavy, smooth rim with nothing for an attacker to catch, so hits turn into a short slide rather than a knock-out.
Hold the launcher level. Nine dead launches out of ten are a tilted launcher, not a tired top: leave at an angle and the Nado lands on the edge of its tip and scrubs the spin off immediately.
Give it a dry run on the table before the first real round. You will learn where this one drifts, and drift is what decides close matches.
